Wedding season is fast approaching. The major decision in planning a wedding (other than the dress) is the venue. The Loden Hotel teamed up with Weddingbell’s magazine to host a beautiful event called ‘Editor’s Picks.’ The event featured Weddingbell’s editor, Alison McGill presenting the top bridal trends for 2014.
Dior’s FW14 collection played to every situation a Dior woman would encounter, from the office to formal events. Tailored pant suits in muted jewel tones crossed the runway under trench coats with half sleeves and elbow length gloves.
The stage for Frida Gianni’s Fall 2014 Ready-To-Wear collection was one overtly inspired by the Sixties. The designer expressed two sides of the brand: on one hand showcasing the beautiful craftsmanship of leather pieces (the full leather dresses and collar shirts were to die for), while at the same time keeping it very glamourous. Suits and short dresses made up the the majority of the collection.
There was a buzz amongst show-goers as we entered the Hunter Original show space – a transformed woodland wonder fit only for such a brand as Hunter Original. The Hunter Original autumn/winter 2014 collection takes inspiration from the brand’s pioneering spirit, referencing Hunter’s nearly 160-year heritage: elements of the Original boot.
London Fashion Week AW14 was held officially at Somerset House in the heart of London along with several off-site locations. Designers, editors, socialites and bloggers united day in and day out – dressed immaculately of course – collectively indulging in the coming season’s best of the best with catwalk shows, presentations, showrooms and all of the best parties.
New York Fashion Week is in full swings. Show goers are bundled up for the winter temperatures in fabulous fur coats, chic sunglasses and of course, incredible footwear.
